Let's face it, not everyone can afford to live in the nicest parts of town with the best school districts. So what do you do? Charter schools are a viable option in Austin. Charter schools are free, usually not in the district where you live, and only require that you apply and enroll. Here is a list of the local charter schools, which many parents rave about:

Star Charter School- Located just off I35 near Pflugerville, this charter school offers education for 1st through 12th grades.
