We had the opportunity to take Ken's mom out to dinner at this lovely brand new restaurant in Driftwood, Texas. The founder of Carrabba's and co-owner of Mandola's Italian Market in Austin, Damian Mandola, along with several friends has recently branched out into this vineyard and lovely restaurant. The menu is full of Country Tuscan style dishes. Everything is served family style, so we shared a wonderful Margherita Pizza, a Spaghetti Carbonara that was unique and very tasty, a super rich canneloni dish, and LOTS of gelato!!! Oh, and the views are one of a kind. The building sits just next to the vineyards and just adjacent to a beautiful view of the hill country, and they've done a great job of landscaping.
