Community Name: Apache Shores, located off of Highway 620 near Hudson's Bend by Lake Travis.
Community Description and Highlights: Apache Shores is a different kind of neighborhood. With fewer building restrictions, this community includes homes by many different builders in various different styles. Unlike some master planned communities, Apache Shores doesn't have expansive broad sidewalks, activity centers or community pools. Instead, it has nice reasonably priced homes with lots of natural oak and cedar trees, lake Austin access, day docks, large lots, and located in one of the absolute best school districts in Austin.
Homes range from $185,000 to $350,000, and between 1400 and 3000 square feet. Most of the homes in this neighborhood currently on the market were built in 2000 or newer, but there are definitely many homes that were built in the 80's and 90's as well. One funny thing about Apache Shores is that a few $800-900k homes are nestled in the hills, right across from much less expensive homes, so a broad range of homes exists here in the same neighborhood.
