Austin Neighborhood Information: Shady Hollow

Community Name: Shady Hollow, located near Bailey Middle School, right off of Brodie lane in South Austin.

Community Description and Highlights: Homes in this neighborhood start in the mid $200's for around 1400 square feet and built in the mid 1980's, and range up to homes priced in the mid $400's for 4000 square feet or more with 5 bedrooms and built 2008. There are still a few new home builders constructing new homes in this area, like DR Horton. So there is a nice mix of established with brand new.

This area is known for its friendly residents and active home owner's association. With a lovely community pool, several parks complete with playscapes, tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, walking trails, and a community center, this neighborhood has lots to offer young families.

Shady Hollow is very close to lots of great shopping, like a great new Kohl's, Home Depot, Lowe's, Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, etc., etc.
